Projects

Things I’m building, breaking, and occasionally finishing.

Bare-Metal Plant Waterer

A plant watering system with zero OS overhead and zero excuses for dead plants. Running on a microcontroller with custom firmware — no Arduino libraries, no HAL hand-holding. Just registers, timers, and a probe in some soil.

Status: In progress

Espresso Machine on Steroids

Taking a standard espresso machine and retrofitting it with a custom controller for PID temperature regulation, pressure profiling, and shot timing. Because good coffee deserves real-time firmware.

Status: In progress (the espresso is still mediocre)

Bioengineering Lab — BioSun Lab @ University of Denver

Working as part of the BioSun Lab at DU, designing and fabricating PCBs for electrochemical detection (ED) spectrometry. Involves analog front-end design, signal conditioning, and making sure the board doesn’t introduce more noise than the signal you’re trying to measure.

Status: Active

More coming soon

I have a bad habit of starting projects and a slowly improving habit of finishing them. Check back, or just email me and ask what I’m currently obsessing over.
